How To Sublimate A Mug or Frosted Glass Can (Pick Your Date/Time) - Sublimation Printing & Heat Transferring Onto Drinkware Class

This is a beginner-friendly class for learning how to format designs for printing on a sublimation printer to then use for heat transferring onto a white, ceramic sublimation mug or 15oz frosted glass can with a mug/tumbler heat press. You'll leave with a mug or glass can sublimated with a design of your choice!

What's included:

-All materials, equipment and software needed to make your custom piece.

-We will walk you from start to finish on how to format your design for printing on the sublimation printer, how to prep your materials to use with a heat press, and how to use a heat press to transfer your sublimation print.

Class size: This is a one-on-one class unless you'd like to come with a buddy. 

If you'd like to come with a buddy, purchase two classes and come together!

When: You get to pick the time you'd like to take the class using our scheduling system. After purchase, go to the makerspace scheduler, select "Mug/Tumbler Heat Press" (this is the machine we'll be using to make your custom mug or frosted glass can), and book whatever time you'd like to come in. This class usually takes 1 hour, so book the "Mug/Tumbler Heat Press" for 1 hour, or if you come with a buddy, book it for 2 hours.

Where: At our makerspace located at 2100 W Cary St #101 Richmond, VA on the corner of Rowland and Cary St in The Fan. Street parking is available along both streets. Keep an eye out for street cleaning times when parking.

What you'll need: You can either bring an image/design you'd like to use on a USB or you can pick/design one during the class. If you bring your own image, please make sure it's saved as a high quality jpg or png that does not look pixelated at 3 to 4 inches tall, and that it is saved in RGB color mode since our sublimation printers use this format.
