Custom Rubber Stamp Class (Pick Your Date/Time) - SVG Design & Laser Engraving/Cutting

This is a beginner-friendly SVG design & laser engraving/cutting class where you will learn how to make a custom rubber stamp in your choice of size. Use it to decorate your stationery, letters, gifts, packages or for your small business branding. If you'd like to upgrade to a larger stamp during the class, we can charge the difference at the shop during your class.

What's included:

-All materials, equipment and software needed to create your custom rubber stamp.

-We will walk you from start to finish on how to use your logo (or desired image) to design your laser engraving and cutting file for the laser machine, how to engrave and cut your rubber stamp on the laser machine, and how to assemble your stamp.

-Bonus! If there's time left over, we can show you how to engrave the wood mount of your stamp with the same design on our xTool F1.

Class size: This class is a one-on-one class unless you'd like to take the class with a buddy. If you'd like to come with a buddy, purchase two classes and book your hours back to back.

When: You get to pick the time you'd like to take the class using our scheduling system. After purchase, go to the makerspace scheduler, select "Glowforge Laser" (this is the machine we'll be using to make your custom stamp), and book whatever time you'd like to come in. This class usually takes one hour for 1.5 to 2 inch stamps, and 90 minutes for 2x3 to 3 inch stamps, so book the Glowforge Laser for accordingly. If you want to come with a buddy, the class may take up to two hours, so book one hour each, back to back, but arrive together!

Where: At our makerspace located at 2100 W Cary St #101 Richmond, VA on the corner of Rowland and Cary St in The Fan. Street parking is available along both streets. Keep an eye out for street cleaning times when parking.

What you'll need: A USB or SD card with your logo or whatever design image you'd like to create a stamp of in black and white or as a vector. Please make sure your images are saved in the highest quality possible (300dpi)! Feel free to email your logo/designs to us prior to the class so we can double check this for you.
